uPgroove is a collective of various regional artists led under the direction of uPgroove Studio co-owners and producers Daniel Ferreras and John Hagen. uPgroove offers a blend of rock, blues, pop, reggae, jazz and Latin musical styles which perfectly suit the band’s vast original repertoire.

Ray Cook (guitar)
Ray Cook is a composer, guitarist, bassist and vocalist and he plays in several Morgantown area bands. He is on staff at West Virginia University.
Wesley Greer (drums, percussion)
Wesley Greer is enrolled at West Virginia University where he is currently studying in the Departments of Percussion and Jazz. Wesley has been playing percussion for 9 years. He plans to graduate from WVU with a BA in Percussion with a Jazz degree and pursue graduate school for his performance degree.
Hillary Kay (vocals)
Hillary Kay was a graduate teaching assistant at West Virginia University where she studied music history. Originially from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Hillary is presently the Education Coordinator at Richmond Performing Arts Alliance in Virginia.
Donnie Lee (bass, keyboards, vocals)
Donnie Lee is a composer, musician and vocalist native to the Metropolitan area of Washington, DC. As the oldest of five boys in a musical family, he pursued a degree in music at WVU and currently resides in Morgantown with his family.
Alberto Morán (vocals)
Alberto Morán is a composer, songwriter and vocalist from Cigales, Spain. He is a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at West Virginia University.
Matt Marble (drums, percussion)
Matt Marble is a native of Charleston, West Virginia and student of drums & percussion since August of 1990. Matt met Daniel and John as a student at West Virginia University in 2001. Since that time, Matt has performed in various groups and ensembles ranging in genre from jazz and blues to rock and funk. He currently works in the healthcare field and resides in Morgantown.
Victor Mucino (guitar)
Victor Mucino is guitarist and composer of smooth samba and Latin grooves. Originally from Mexico, Victor is a mechanical engineer at WVU.
Samus (trumpet, vocals)
Samus is a trumpet player and a student working towards becoming a professor of Romance languages, literatures, and linguistics.
John Hagen (keyboards, alto saxophone, vocals)
John Hagen is a composer, producer, saxophonist and keyboardist and he is the co-founder of Hi-Fi Fidélité Productions. Originally from Flint, Michigan, John is an independent scholarly communications consultant.
Daniel Ferreras (lead vocals, guitar, blues harp)
Daniel Ferreras Savoye is a guitarist, vocalist, composer, songwriter and producer and he is the co-founder of Hi-Fi Fidélité Productions. Originally from Paris, Daniel is a professor and author in the Department of World Languages at West Virginia University, where he teaches languages, literature and culture.
